Yes, especially for anyone who enjoys discovering hotels and cafés without paying the usual price of a full brunch. The festival offers the chance to try venues with very different profiles at fixed prices and compare experiences in various neighborhoods.

For tourists, it can also be an interesting way to start a day of sightseeing at places with great views, such as hotels in Zona Sul and Centro.

Do you need a reservation?

It depends on the establishment. Some venues operate on a first-come, first-served basis, while others require advance reservations. The announced options requiring reservations include hotel properties and popular rooftops.

The best approach is to open the participant’s specific page on the Breakfast Weekend website and check the hours, reservation policy, time limits, rules for children and pets, and availability.

How to choose where to have breakfast

Rather than choosing based solely on price, it is worth considering the type of experience you want:

  • View: hotels and rooftops tend to be more appealing.
  • Value for money: the Standard and Plus tiers may work well for anyone who wants to try more than one venue during the month.
  • More complete brunch: the Platinum and Signature tiers tend to offer more elaborate experiences.
  • Sightseeing: choose an address near the first stop on your itinerary.
  • Weekend: book in advance, especially at hotels.

How to fit it into your Rio itinerary

A practical strategy is to choose a venue based on your plans for the day. Botafogo and Flamengo work well before outings to places such as Sugarloaf Mountain and Centro; Copacabana pairs well with a morning at the beach; Santos Dumont and Porto Maravilha are convenient for those planning to visit museums and Centro.
